When can we expect a new update?

By spanielgita - Posted on 19 October 2009

hello again, i love your program - there is nothing else like it out there.
It enables me to mix anwhere i please!

Can you tell me (even roughly) when the next update will be out on this program

Greetings,

We'd love to be able to tell you exactly when you can expect a new update, but Apple's review process makes this a little difficult. We've actually got an update in the review process right now, so it could be anywhere between two weeks and a month.

Thanks for the heads up!

Can you let me know about any changes you have made?

i am literally on the edge of my seat!

p.s - have you turned the tempo control the correct way around in this update?

Hello,

The next update is actually very small, but we thought extremely important. Along with a couple of bug fixes and performance enhancements, it will allow you to play stereo MP3 files, and not just mono MP2 files. We've got other features in the pipeline (like being able to customize which direction the pitch shift goes), but we thought that releasing MP3 support first would provide the biggest bang for the buck as we develop the others. We've been quiet about the future feature set as we didn't want to set people's expectations too high and then have to wait as the new update gets approved.

That's awesome news. It really is a bit of a hassle converting the tracks, and having duplicates. But on the other hand the smaller file size is convenient. How is the app going popularity wise anyway? If it's not a hit already, I'm sure it will be once mp3 is supported. That was the main reason I didn't purchase the app sooner. I couldn't resist in the end though. Keep up the good work! Mick b.

Yeah i echo mick's thoughts entirely. How is mp3 output going to work via one mono channel though or is it just the same as before but you dont have to convert your tunes? Also will LP2 still be supported? This app has some pretty terrible reviews on itunes from some impatient people who wont make the effort to enjoy this software. I have submitted a 5 start review (which i never do) as this software is groundbreaking.

We can't wait to get MP3 out there either. It will surely help people get moving with the app sooner! Both the current files and stereo MP3 files will be supported at the same time. Our software will combine the stereo channels together in real time so that they become mono. In a future version (but not the next one yet) we will also have different mixer options so that if you wanted full stereo and to mix purely visually you'd be able to do that.
The app is pretty popular for such a niche product, which just drives us to continue to improve and enhance it. Thanks for your continued support!

How can i get the update when its out? will it update when i press update from app store on my ipod? just want to make sure because i have allready bought this app and i dnt want to pay again. and have you got an exact date of this release or? thanx anyway....

When our next update is approved by Apple, it will show up as an available update in the App Store. You will be able to update the app for free. In the future, we may introduce Pro style features as a paid add-on, but this hinges on the ability for us to provide our existing users with the capability for free. We are contemplating those possibilities. Unfortunately, there is no exact date set for our next release as it hinges on Apple's queue. It has been submitted though. We are just waiting for Apple, like many other companies are right now. Thanks for your patience!
